Stephanie Elaine Hite passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026
Stephanie was born in Newport News VA on March 19,1965 to Frank and Mary Hite.
From a very small child, Stephanie was given the nickname Beeper, and later in life 99 and also affectionately known as Aufie.
Stephanie is predeceased by her parents and her cats who she cherished and called her children; Lyle & Grace, Tani Bear, Cali Girl and Gigi.
Stephanie is survived by her aunt, Ruth Miller; sister Connie Chapman, nephew Cole Chapman; sister Cheryle Whitmore (Don), niece Shelby Elliott, niece Mary Elliott; great nephew Wiley Bullis and great niece Leia Elliott and many aunts, uncles and cousins and several very close friends.
Stephanie is described as “loving and kind, magnanimous, wry, whimsical, thoughtful and giving, a beautiful soul, an angel and a friend and favorite funniest niece”
She is greatly missed, but she has left so many memories and stories that we can hold on to keep her close in our hearts.
Until we meet again, we love you, to infinity and beyond.

I love you Stephanie. I will miss you forever. I’m so thankful that you worked out a relationship with Jesus so I can reconnect with you for all eternity.

Stephanie was such a kind and caring person, always trying to do the right thing and bring happiness to those around her. Thank you for always being so kind, for your good advice, and for the love and warmth you shared with us. You will always be remembered and deeply missed. May you rest in peace. ❤️🙏
Stephanie, you have one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever known. Even though we were on opposite sides of the country, you remained one of my closest, lifelong friends. I’ll miss you so much, and our exchanging cards and thoughtful gifts will be something I will always cherish. We’ll be seeing you in heaven someday! 🙏🏼
Stephanie and I enjoyed star gazing and watching meteor showers from our work station on railroad Bridge 37. We shared our awe of all creation while observing our little piece of the universe. She was such a good friend and always a wonderful person to spend precious moments with. She is missed now, but I expect to see her in heaven.
Stephenie, one of the first people in met at ups when I started there. She was the air driver and shuttle to richmond driver when we had late air. I remember thinking how nice she was and such a great example of what a upser should be. I always looked up to Stephanie and will always remember her.
Stephanie and I were co-workers She worked as Bridge 37 Operator in Everett, WA., and I as her Train Dispatcher in Ft.Worth, TX. Our friendship stemmed from our constant interaction at work, then my work road trips to the Pacific Northwest. We carried on our friendship through email, texting and phone calls. Stephanie and I had a lot in common, as we are both March babies and we care so deeply about what we do for a living, and the people we work with. It was so important to her to do her job the best she could to create a safe working environment. Each year we would send little trinkets and cards of well wishes to each other and Stephanie always had a knack for picking out THAT PERFECT CARD! , then adding her joyous little artwork to it. This photo of her is amazing that smile won’t be forgotten, and Bridge 37 will always be guarded by her loving spirit. Stephanie did find our Lord Jesus , I am missing her presence here on earth as she made it a better place, yet I am looking forward to seeing that smile again someday! Love you Steph! ❤️
