Dorothy C. Ransford
Dorothy C. Ransford, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, in Bellevue, Washington.
Dorothy was born in Salem, Massachusetts, and raised in Braithwaite, Louisiana, near New Orleans. She began her career as a legal secretary for prominent attorneys Louis and Joseph DiRosa. She later worked for The Boeing Company, where she met Phillip Ransford. The two were married in 1964.
Dorothy had a lifelong appreciation for Dixieland jazz music, reading, learning about different cultures, and enjoying good food. She will be remembered for her friendly and polite Southern personality, her warmth, and the smile with which she always greeted friends.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Pamela Ransford of Kirkland, Washington and Bryan Ransford, and daughter-in-law Lauren Ransford of Seattle, Washington.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
