Shennae Lanesa McNairy

On December 17, 2023 Shennae Lanesa McNairy was received in Heaven where she is reunited with her son Jason, her mother Tracy, her grandparents, and other beloved family and friends.

Shennae was born on February 26, 1979 in Spokane, Washington, and grew up in Kirkland, Washington where she made a name for herself in high school athletics.  Receiving two scholarships in basketball and track & field, she attended Gonzaga University and the University of Oregon before becoming a full time mother to four beautiful children.

Shennae’s life focus was her children and her family.  She also loved sports, coffee, garage sales, thrift stores, singing karaoke, dancing, and reading her Bible. Aside from her children, Shennae would say her greatest joy was her relationship with Jesus Christ.

Shennae leaves behind (for a time) her three daughters, Jayla, Jordan, and Aireonna; her father Charles and stepmother Anita; siblings Michael, Chandus, Jyran, and Trayon; step-siblings Christine and Jeffrey; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many more beloved family and friends.

She will be missed enormously, but we are comforted by our knowing she is pain and worry free, and singing and dancing with the angels in Heaven.

A special thank you to the staff at Evergreen Hospice Center for providing the most loving care that we can imagine.  We are so incredibly grateful.

A memorial service will held at 1:00 pm on January 13, 2024 at Canyon Hills Community Church; 22027 17th Ave SE, Bothell, WA 98021

    Charles and Anita,
We are praying for peace and comfort at this time. It was such a pleasure to be able to spend a few moments with Shennae when I got to visit with her. I got to see her beautiful smile. Trusting God to be merciful to you both in this time of sorrow. Unfortunately, Arthur and I will be out of town on the 13th. Blessings on you all.

Shennae had such a sweet spirit, a beautiful smile and a fun personality. She loved God and she loved her daughters, whom with we are so blessed with their love & beauty. I’m happy that Jason gets to be reunited with his Mother again. Let us all hold each other tighter and love harder, as our time on Earth is only borrowed. Many blessings & hugs to her daughters, her Father, her siblings and all family and friends. Give thanks and praises.
