Daniel (Danny) Frank Reeff, 65 of Tacoma passed away in the early afternoon of October 14th 2023 in Renton, WA after a long battle with cancer.

Danny was born in Renton to John and Mary Reeff on February 17th 1958 at Valley Medical Center’s initial location, which later became a K-mart. Throughout his life he proudly told people he was born in K-mart, the first of many great jokes he would tell in his lifetime. He was on the front page of “The Seattle Times” where they remarked that he was like Spiderman on the football field, as he would climb over his opponents to get where he needed to go. Danny graduated from Glacier High School where he later enlisted in the Army.

He is survived by his children Jonathan (Jess) Reeff and Kristina (Daniel) Collecchi. His three grandchildren. His siblings Jim, Donald and Jacqueline. He was a beloved uncle and great uncle to many. His nieces and nephews lovingly called him Unca Unca.

Danny had an infectious sense of humor and it was impossible not to have a good time while around him. The razzle dazzle of his personality definitely made people he didn’t know personally feel like they had been friends for years. He loved to boogie down the aisles of the grocery store to whatever the song playing may have been. The way he could make any song funny by changing lyrics is a trait that his whole family wished they had. He was such a funny guy that there should have been a book written on all of the jokes he could tell, it would be a long one.

Danny loved his Andes mints and trinkets. He always wanted to go to the second-hand store to find his next great treasure, or even just happen upon them. The walls in his home were often lined with all of the treasures that he found in his travels. His area was always a fun vibe and went hand in hand with his creative nature.

Danny battled cancer for many years but his family will never say that he lost that battle. In all of the time he went through treatment, he never complained. If he was asked what was wrong, he would respond with a simple “I’m feeling run down” or “I’m just tired” Danny fought so hard and for that, his whole family is so proud of him.

Details on his celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

I never knew his middle name was Frank. He was always just Danny to me. He was the last part of the older Reeff grandchildren generation. My brothers and I grew up with Theresa, Donny and Danny. May he rest in peace ♥️

Rest in peace Danny! I’d say that your battle against cancer showed your best qualities. A sense of gratitude and grace carried you through to the arms of Jesus. I will always remember your vivacious, accepting personality. Humor was one of your greatest gifts, and you gave it freely. See you again someday.
