Our beloved mom, Nancy Lee Mahoney passed away peacefully on 12/21/2022, after her courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

Nancy was born to Archie Joseph Le Beau and Cleo May Nelson on Jan 3,1936 in San Diego, CA. She grew up in the Seattle area and had four siblings– Gail, Pat, Leslie, and Bobby- all who preceded her in death.

In 1958, Nancy met the love of her life, Dan, a match truly made in heaven. After a short courtship Nancy and Dan married in February, 1959. They went on to have 3 children– Kathy, Karen, and Mike. Together, Nancy and her “honey” enjoyed frequent golfing alongside Dan’s brother and his wife, Richard and Dona Mahoney. After Dan passed in 1994, Nancy kept herself very busy- she spent many hours as a hospice volunteer for Northwest Hospital and was a devoted member of Saint Luke’s Catholic Church.

Nancy’s grandchildren were definitely the light of her life. She spent as much time as she possibly could with them. She was a “fun” grandma-there were special outings like trips to the Seattle Aquarium, The Nutcracker, movie days, days at the beach, and of course sleepovers at grandma’s house.

Nancy was a woman of strong faith and she instilled in us the importance of family, hard work and doing
what is right. Our mom was a true role model who we will always look up to.

Nancy joins her husband Dan, grandson Jake, her siblings, and her parents in Heaven. She is survived by her 3 children, 5 grand children– Joel, Brandon, Jordan, Stephanie, and Jennifer, 4 great-grandchildren, and many loving extended family members.

The funeral service for Nancy will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Shoreline on January 27th, 2023 at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at the Nile Country Club.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mom, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much. Rest in peace.

“Angel of God my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here. Ever this day, be at my side, to light and to guard, to rule and to guide. Amen”.

Nancy took care of my baby son from 1973-1976 and was a dear loving nanny. Her son Mike used to play with Randy even tho Randy was only 2-4 years old. I am so sorry to hear she has passed. We moved to Denver in 1976 and just drove by our house and hers last week.
    May she rest in peace.
