Raynette Ann (Pepple) Pawlitschek

 

Raynette Ann (Pepple) Pawlitschek, 80, of Redmond, WA, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2022, at Evergreen Hospital.

Raynette was born May 9, 1942, in Los Angeles, CA, to Raymond and Edith (Fairchild) Pepple. She was the oldest of three sisters and lived in central North Dakota during her childhood. She graduated from Steele High School in 1960.

After high school, Raynette studied accounting at the University of North Dakota and used this knowledge to help her dad during summer breaks with bookkeeping at Pepple Machine Company. Following college, Raynette met her future husband, Larry Pawlitschek, of Jeffers, MN. They were married in Fargo, ND on January 7, 1967, and a few years later moved to Des Moines, IA, to raise their two sons.

Raynette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who was devoted to her family. She loved baking special birthday cakes and Scotcharoos, watching romance movies and home improvement shows, and decorating her home for each season. During the summers, Raynette loved camping with her family and spending time with close friends in the lakes region of Minnesota. In 1985, the family moved to Redmond, WA, where Raynette enjoyed her job as a display merchandiser at Lakeside Drug. In later years, Raynette enjoyed winters with Larry and their cat Tinkerbelle in Mesa, AZ, where they had fun visiting and playing cards with old and new friends.

Raynette was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, the Bismarck-Mandan Elks Lodge #1199, and the Ladies Circle at her church in Redmond.

Raynette is survived by her sons, Garrett (Susan) Pawlitschek and their children Lauren, Brian, and Megan of Pullman, WA, son Terry (Maya) Pawlitschek and grandson Cole of Seattle, WA, sister Annette (Perry) Bartholomaus of Steele, ND, sister Lannette Hendrickson of Gilbert, AZ, and many nieces and nephews. Raynette was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Larry Pawlitschek, and her parents, Raymond and Edith Pepple.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 1pm on November 5, 2022, at Meadowbrook Farm, 1711 Balch Ave NW, North Bend, WA.
