Louise C Dizard passed away on Sunday, August 7th in Seattle.

Louise enjoyed being active her entire life!  Participating on sports teams from a young age through senior years.  She was on bowling leagues, softball teams, and a wicked volleyball player teaching all her kids to enjoy active family picnics.  She led her family on many biking and walking adventures~ leading us over the locks, around Fisherman’s Terminal and back over the Ballard Bridge; biking down to Sunset Beach or over to Redmond on the Burke Gilman Trail.  Louise drove cancer patients to treatment for over twenty years and enjoyed bringing her children along to chat.  She looked forward to outings with her Red Hat Society and many activities at the Ballard Senior Center.  Louise definitely lived her life to the fullest.

Louise is survived by Derrill Jr and Patty; David and Kristi; Devonn; multiple amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by husband Derrill R Dizard Sr and sons Larry and Donn.

A graveside memorial service will be held Monday, August 15th at 1:00 PM at Mount Pleasant Cemetery located on Queen Anne at 700 W Raye St.

Aunt Louise was the best aunt. I will always admire her positive, fun attitude and active lifestyle. I will always treasure holiday get togethers and card nights. She has always been a life source I’ve loved and admired and am grateful for the times we shared. Thank you Aunt Louise for being a positive part of my life!

Louise, I will miss your spirit the most. I think you trumped Hoyle on occasion with your own rules but it was always in the spirit of fun. Family games and gatherings will always be my fond memories. Thank you for always being welcoming, enthusiastic and optimistic no matter what came along. You have been inspirational and purple.
