Ana was born on October 15, 1957 in La Ceiba Honduras to her parents Ines Rochez Cubas and Marcos Cordova Ruiz, the third oldest of her siblings.Β  Ana grew up in a small town called Santa Fe also known as Guiriga. Ana was a skilled seamstress and designed her own clothing along with other fashion pieces. Shortly after learning her trade she took an uncomfortable step in pursuit of a better life in the United States in the early 80’s with her husband Mario Figueroa. They arrived to Colorado and decided to head further north and made their home in Seattle Washington, They where the firsts of the black Carribs Garifuna tribes from Honduras to arrive to the pacific northwest. Ana and Mario had 3 lovely children Mark (1985), Mario jr. (1987), and Emie (1993).Β  Since then, Ana used everything she knew and had to take care of her family.

Ana worked at ABM at the Seafirst Tower later to be known as the Wells Fargo tower and worked at there for over 30 years. Ana was a peace keeper in the family. If any disputes or differences would arise, she always brought family together and shared love through food and celebrations. Ana remarried Ines Martinez while maintaining her household and raising her 3 kids. Ana loved to cook, clean, laugh, enjoy travel, and most importantly being a giver. Her generosity and love will always be remembered.
