Mrs. Constance “Connie” Bernice Divers (nee Irons), 92, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in Bellevue, Washington. She was born on March 3, 1928 in Bagley, Minnesota to Clyde and Agatha Irons, the first of five children. She lived a simple life with her husband of nearly 61 years, Frank Divers. And they raised their three children in the Seattle area.

Connie was a homemaker and excelled as a gardener, seamstress, interior designer, hairdresser, and home chef. She was also a wallpaper and painting champion and didn’t mind rolling up her sleeves as a plumber or electrician as well. Connie was a strong, inspirational woman whose mothering skills extended to the next generation and beyond. She always longed to travel, a trait that has been passed down through her children and grandchildren. She loved her many animals. Quite often folks visited with the knowledge of hot coffee and good conversation awaiting.

Connie was preceded in death by both parents and her husband. She is survived by her children: Jim Divers (son) and his wife, Barb; Arrah Sparby (daughter); Leslie Wetzig (daughter); grandchildren: Tracy, Amy, Angela, Kevin, and stepdaughter: Diane Taylor and her husband, Harry and their children, Wade, Nadine, and Margo. She is also survived by all of her siblings: Audrey Smith (sister); Vivian Gilmore (sister); Bruce Irons (brother) and his wife, Sandra; and Hope Petree (sister); and numerous nieces and nephews.
