Pauline Cox

Pauline Cox passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 21, 2021.

She is not leaving us into the darkness for she has traveled there already under the dark escort of dementia. Now that her earthly journey has ended, she is free to enter the full light of healing and eternal salvation, reuniting in celebration with all those she loved so dearly.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Dave, sons Gerald, Robert, and sisters Yvonne, Delores, and Milicent. Pauline is survived by her children Terri, Steve (Nadine), Jim and 3 grandchildren Jeremiah, David, and Tristen.

Pauline was born in Seattle on the 23rd of January 1933 to Walter and Agnes Lannon as one of 5 children, including sisters Yvonne Doyle, Delores Holberg, Milicent Stanely and Arlene Kretschman. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. The apple of Pauline’s eye is her son Jim whom she served with an abundance of love, grace, compassion, and dignity.

Pauline and Dave married on May 16, 1953 in Laredo Texas while Dave served in the Air Force. In 1954, following military duty, Dave and Pauline moved back to Ballard to raise their children. Dave loved golf and convinced Pauline that she should take up the game—good call Dad! Pauline went on the win a “Club Championship” at Inglewood Golf and Country Club in Kenmore where her name will forever be displayed alongside all the club champions.

After retirement Dave and Pauline enjoyed family, church, played a lot of golf, and provided volunteer work, escorting orphan babies to the US from Thailand.
