Lisa Ann DiMuzio Carney (née Brodbeck) passed away in her sleep on March 12, 2020, due to heart failure.

Lisa lived in Lynwood at the time of her passing. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, but moved to the Pacific Northwest shortly after graduating high school to escape Midwest winters. Throughout her life, she lived in various communities around the Pacific Northwest, including Mill Creek, Bothell, Bremerton, and Gig Harbor, and even moved back to Cincinnati for several years at one point (however, she loved the Pacific Northwest too much to stay away forever).

She had an immense love for singing and music. It was not uncommon for Lisa to sing her heart out while driving or while working around the house. While she was a fan of a lot of music, she especially loved Elvis, The Beatles, and Jethro Tull.

She was active in her church, Northlake Christian Church in Bothell. Within the church, she was a member of the quilting group, which made quilts for church members as well as for donation to the community. Over the years, she sang in the church choir and starred in Christmas musicals. She was preparing to go on a mission trip to Thailand with her church at the time of her passing.

For the last 16 years, Lisa worked at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP in downtown Bellevue, where she was an executive legal assistant. She had an associate’s degree from Edmonds Community College and worked as a legal secretary at various law firms in the Seattle and Cincinnati regions.

She is survived by her son Ryan Carney and his partner Amanda Stump and daughter Tara Carney and her partner Scott Bowers. Lisa leaves behind several siblings: sister Denise Almond, brother Mark Brodbeck, brother Matt Brodbeck and spouse Kim, brother Micheal “Tyke” Brodbeck, sister Michelle “Belle” Brodbeck, brother Steven Brodbeck, step-sister Becky Hummeldorf and husband Dave, and step-brother Randy Glasscock. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Matt, Jill, Josh, Andrew, Tim, Eli, Allie, Abbie, Lucy, Max, Ashley, Wonnyou, Eric, Carl, Jake, Daniel, Amanda, RJ, and Rhiannon. She also leaves behind over 50 cousins, and countless friends, including her best pal Kathy Bond. She is preceded in death by father Donald Brodbeck and mother Mary Charlotte Brodbeck (née DiMuzio).

Lisa loved life. Her irresistible happiness and warm glow caused everyone who met her to adore and appreciate her. She was a wonderful mother, a loving aunt, and an amazing friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
