James Roxy Hedington passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2019 in Seattle, WA. due to complications following surgery. He was 71 years old.

James was born on March 28, 1947 in Seattle, WA, to his parents, Anthony and Alice Hedington, and shared his life with his stepfather Marvin Hozee.  He was an active service member for the United States Army in his young adult life from 1966-1968 and was a proud veteran. He married Sharma Lynn Hedington in 1970. The Hedingtons lived in the greater Seattle area and together they had three beautiful children; Marvin, Jim and Athena.  James and Sharma were married for an amazing 49 years.

James loved spending time and talking with his family as they were his proudest accomplishments. His grandchildren were the light of his life. There was not a day that went by, that his family could count on a funny story, a phone call, or to let them know that they were thought about, loved and appreciated. He was an avid listener of all kinds of music and was always willing to share it with all who would listen. James adored his dog, Cooper, and loved fishing and watching all kinds of old movies.

James is survived by his wife, Sharma Hedington; his children, Marvin (Nicole) Hedington, Jim Hedington (Jamie), and his daughter Athena Rose (Byron); grandchildren, Megan, Kathleen, Andrea, Julianne, Warren, and Derek; sister Sally Krupp and brother Michael Hedington. James was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Alice Hedington, and sister Arlene Ayers.

James will be buried in a private ceremony on February 24, 2019 at Abbey View Memorial Park in Brier, WA.
