JAMES V. HILL

James Valdo (Jimmy) Hill age 85 died 2-14-18 in Seattle, WA.  He was born 7-10-32, the son of Carlos V and Mary Lance (Hill) Wiles.

He and his sisters, Charlotte & Cora Sue were all born on Rich Mountain where they lived until Jimmy was 6 years old and ready to go to school.  He went to several grade schools in the county.

He married Lottie McCarter and they later moved to Longview, Wa.  where he worked as a Longshoreman.

They had 6 boys before they were divorced.  He was predeceased by his mother, father & one son, James.  Surviving are his sisters and 5 sons, Burton, John, Carl, Doug & Ken, several grand children& great-grand children and numerous cousins.

Jimmy was a gentle soul who wrote poetry about his days in Polk County, especially roaming the farm of his Grandparents, Burt & Grace Lance.

He will be cremated and there will be a service in Seattle and one later in Mena.
