Viren Kumar

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Viren Kumar on Monday, November 20th, 2017 at the age of 21. Viren is survived by his parents, Aarti (Jaggi) Kumar and Atul Kumar. He will always be fondly remembered by his cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends – all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

Viren was born on March 23, 1996 in Chandigarh, India – he was nothing but a friend to all from that day forward. Viren graduated from Naperville North High School in Naperville, Illinois in 2014 after which he went on to attend University of Washington in Bothell, Washington.

Viren was an avid lover of cars, a quick study and problem-solver, a lover of gadgets, and biggest of all, a born giver. No challenge was too big or small for Viren, and no person unworthy of his time. He was known for having the brightest of smiles and biggest of hearts, and enjoyed nothing more than making those around him happy.  Simply put, Viren was the perfect example of extraordinary beauty of the simple human heart.

Viren deeply touched every life he met, and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother, and friend.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov 27th from 10:00am – 12:00noon, at Barton Family Funeral Service of Kirkland, North Park Business Center, 11630 Slater Ave NE, Suite 1A, Kirkland.

Prayers and last rites as per Hindu tradition will be held on Monday, Nov 27th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at First Call, 6942 S. 196th St., Kent followed by cremation at 4pm.
