Lois Irene (Button) Hardtarfer
Born October 23, 1927 in Lawrence, Kansas – passed away July 22, 2017 at her home in Everett after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Lois was one of nine children born to Anna and Olin Button with one surviving brother, Russell Button who resides in Lawrence.
She met the love of her life, Leslie Hardtarfer, in high school, married him and moved to Wichita, Kansas, where he found work at Boeing. They raised 3 daughters and were active members of the community.
In 1968, they moved to Everett, where Lois continued as a homemaker and mother. Her many activities included her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing bridge, sewing, reading, bowling and her church. After Leslie’s death in 2002, she spent her time with family and bridge friends and helping support the congregation at Faith Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Denise Utsunomiya (Don), Robin Mohr (Dennis) and Laurie Hardtarfer, along with grandchildren Jana Brown (Dan), Tyler Mohr (Jessica), and Andrew Mohr (Mollie). She also leaves behind great grandchildren Cole and Carson Brown and Myka and Barrett Mohr.
You will be missed by all of us who were lucky enough to have you in our lives. Go in peace.
The only service will be family spreading her ashes along with Leslie’s.
