Patricia Mary Gordon

Patricia Gordon passed away peacefully on December 9, 2016 at the age of 87, following a
five year struggle with Alzheimer’s.  Patricia was born September 30, 1929 in London, England to Archibald and Florence Bushell.  She was proceeded in death by her husband David Gordon, whom she was married to for fifty years until his death in 2005. Patricia was a devoted wife and stay at home Mother to her two daughters.  The family were Bellevue residents since 1961.

Patricia loved to sew, knit, bake and watch for interesting birds in the garden.  Both Patricia and her husband David, loved to travel. They took many trips both locally and abroad in their 50 years together.  Patricia loved to entertain, and have dinner parties with all their friends.  She had a green thumb, and especially liked growing her large assortment of African violets. Patricia was very involved in both her children, and grandchildren’s lives and loved nothing more than spending time with all of them. She loved going to all their school events, parties and performances.  Although he was born after her memory started to fail, there was nothing more heartwarming, than the look on her face when her great-grandson was in the same room.  We have all learned a lot from Patricia in our lifetimes.  She was a kind, generous, and a compassionate person who will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts.
Alzheimer’s may have taken her memory, but not her heart, her soul, her spirit, her smile, or the deep love that she had for her friends, and family.  Patricia is survived by her daughters Leslie Gordon (Dave), Tina Gordon (Michael), her beloved grandchildren Ryan Phelan, Katie Phelan (Bobby), and her newest treasure, her great grandson, Jaxson. A celebration of her life will be held the end of January.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
