I only met Evie on a few occasions in Surabaya but she was so lovely and welcoming to me and my wife Annette. We remember her as a very gracious person with a deep belief in her faith – a beautiful lady and a wonderful human being, in any company , anywhere. Her genuine love of God and neighbour was and is inspirational. If she hasn’t gone to her eternal reward with our God, there’s not much hope for the rest of us.

A wonderful lady and a gentle soul. Our lives were made better by knowing Evie. I fondly recall my visits to Surabaya where Evie would guide me through the finer points of Indonesian cuisine [ delicious!! ]. She will be greatly missed but I’m sure she will find a special place in heaven. My deepest sympathy goes to my friend Andreas and his family.
