Mark John Haley

Mark HaleyOn Thursday, September 24th, 2015, Mark John Haley passed away at Harborview Medical Center surrounded by friends and family.    He had been in their care for nine days in treatment for severe brain injuries after suffering a series of extensive and debilitating strokes. He remained unconscious and spent his last days being visited by many close friends and all of his immediate family.

Mark’s life began on March 16th, 1966 at Overlake Hospital.  He lived several places, but mostly Spokane as a youth and Seattle as an adult.   He was a thoughtful husband, loving brother, son, and uncle.  He always greeted people with a big warm smile, a listening ear and a great sense of humor.  He was a musician and an entrepreneur, a lover of nice cars and motorcycles, pugs and adventures with his loving wife Thanya.

He graduated High School from Gonzaga Preparatory school in Spokane and went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.  His vocational career was varied, and included work in music, real estate, genetics laboratories and more.

His compassionate, fun-loving and creative personality will be deeply missed by many.  He is survived by his wife, Thanya, father, Bill Haley, brother and his wife Mike & Lisa Haley, sister Sara Cassidy, step mother Dorothy Stewart, niece and nephew Morgan Haley Croft and Kent Haley as well as a handful of Aunts and Uncles and other extended family.

More specific information about his last several days can be found at Caringbridge.org

We will use this site to provide details of his celebration of life once we confirm the details.

Several family members plan to participate in the Puget Sound Heart & Stroke Walk on Saturday, October 17th in Seattle.  Participation is free and donations are also accepted.  If you are interested in either, follow the link below and search for Morgan Croft Team Captain. http://pugetsoundheartwalk.kintera.org
