Martha M. Fairclaugh
Martha M. Fairclaugh passed away on December 8, 2014 following a brief, yet treacherous illness.
Martha’s never ending humor, intelligence and compassion left a phosphorescent trail of friends and loved ones behind.
Her career choices included 20 years with the Internal Revenue Service throughout the North East and Midwest. This was followed by a 15 year career in the transportation industry in Seattle.
Martha’s pride and joy is her treasured daughter, Pamelabeth Pilet and her two precious grand-daughters, Gigi and Chloe, of Louisiana. She is also survived by a son Mark Fairclaugh of Pennsylvania.
Martha was the proud Au Pair of Alison and Donnie Herendeen.
Like Thoreau, Edgar Allen Poe and Emily Dickinson, Martha’s amazing talent for poetry was not recognized prior to her death.
Most recently Martha has become the renowned “Casino Lady” due to her constant drive to improve the lives of those around her.
There will be a Celebration of Martha’s Life on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Emerald Downs from noon to 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please inscribe fond memories on her guest book with Barton Funeral Home.
