Digital StillCameraMichael (Mike) unexpectedly but peacefully passed away in his sleep at his home in Redmond, Washington, on October 14th.
 
Mike was born on May 29th, in Moab, Utah. He attended Capuchino High School in San Bruno, California. After graduation he served in the U.S. Army in San Antonio, Texas. Subsequent to his military service he graduated from the College of Notre Dame in Belmont, California.
 
Mike met his wife, Joy, when they both worked at the same company in Palo Alto, California. In 1979 they moved to Washington state when Mike accepted an engineering position in Seattle. He then worked for Proctor and Associates as a mechanical engineer until his retirement in 2003.
 
Mike was known to his friends for his love of classic automobiles. He adored his family and relished his time with them. Friends were always welcome at the barbeque at the Cable household where many good times were had.
 
Mike was preceded in death by his parents George and Ruth Cable. He is survived by his wife, Joy; sons Steven and Eric; sisters, Cindy Bagley, Julie Shannon and Cherie Burnham.
 
A memorial service will be held for family and friends.
