William “Bill” Howell

Dad1William “Bill” Howell, was born December 30, 1946 to Bea and Jean Howell in Seattle, WA along with 5 sisters and 1 brother. He departed his mortalDad2 life for that of immortality on June 21, 2014. Growing up, Bill always was in the midst of family and friends and continued to live his life in the midst of a large community of family, and close friends as well. Much like his father, many people thought of Bill as someone who would do anything for anyone. As many would say, he would give you the shirt off his own back.  His smile and never fading happiness was contagious, and his jokes, laughter, and shenanigans were endearing. He had a gentle heart bigger than the moon, that was always open and generous regardless of the many challenges, problems, and pain he endured.  Among the many hard earned accomplishments in his life, Bill was a successful and trusted entrepreneur and salesman who always kept his word. He worked hard to provide for his family and had a highly respectable work ethic all the way through to his retirement. He opened his own business and was consistently a Top Salesman of canopies and truck accessories in the Greater Seattle area. He honorably served this country during the Vietnam War with the strong belief that the sacrifices he made were to guarantee a better future for generations to come. His patriotism and ideals were of the highest respect for the military and his connections with other Veterans were as deep as the scars on their bodies and in their hearts.  In his pastime, Bill enjoyed professional and college sports, and was a trusted authority whenever a game was on. To try to stay up to parr on the highlights of games, others would repeat things they had heard him say when they wanted to hold up their end of a meaningful conversation about the Huskies or the Seahawks. Nobody knew his favorite teams better than he did.  Bill Howell is truly and Dad3deeply loved and is survived by his two sons, James and Michael, his daughterinlaw Lisa, his two beautiful grandchildren William and Madelyn,Dad4 his only brother and all five sisters, nieces and nephews, and many friends whom he treated like family. The presence of such a warm and unselfish heart was a blessing from God to all who knew him. Bill moved gracefully through his path in life and left a pleasant mark on the paths of others’ who he crossed.

We will be honoring the life of Bill Howell in a service held at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 5050 8th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105 on July 3, 2014 at 11:00 am.
