Blanca Victoria Soto Figueroa Madison

Blanca Victoria Soto Figueroa Madison entered into eternal life on January 2, 2014. She is survived by her husband Dr. Edward J. Madison, children Bianca, Edward Jr, and Trilisa, her beloved brother and sister in-law Luis & Roxana Soto, and treasured nieces & nephews. She is reunited in paradise with her revered parents Medardo & Blanca Soto, and adored sister/best friend Maritza Mahre (2011).

Blanca was born in Huaraz, Peru on April 8, 1949. She was an exemplary girl, and a smart, immaculate young woman that completed graduate studies in education before coming to the US in the the late 1970s. Blanca & Ed married in 1978 in Honolulu, HI, and soon moved to Seattle to begin cultivating both their family and business.

She was a passionately devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, boss, and friend. She was fiercely private, meticulously clean, and richly wise. She loved to dance and her taste in music was heavily dependent on a good beat (although a deep, husky voice grabbed her as well). She prayed hard and often; she spoke fast and loud. Never one to take the easy way out, she was as strong as oak with a heart of honey.

She was of noble character and is described by her husband as an “aristocrat.” She gave the best of herself and expected the same from those around her. Always in movement, she constantly attended to the family’s well-being. A tireless, selfless mother that doted on her children, she taught strength, love and determination predominately by example.

She is unspeakably missed, but her life will forever be an example of godliness and authenticity.

A service to remember her life and love will be held at Canyon Hills Community Church on Saturday, February 15, 2014 @ 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate on her behalf to the church’s benevolence fund – http://www.canyonhillscommunitychurch.com/contact

Her relationship with Christ grew stronger with each year of life, and towards the end she enjoyed the comfort of His arms & promises. The following verses became her battle cry in the final months; free of earthly expectations & certain of her ultimate destiny.

“The Lord is right in everything He does. He is loving toward everything He has made. The Lord is ready to help all those who call out to Him. He helps those who really mean it when they call out to Him. He satisfies the needs of those who have respect for Him. He hears their cry and saves them.” Psalms 145:17-19
