I remember Bob from our mutual time together at the Cherry Valley Family Grocer in Duvall. He took me under his wing, mentored me as his assistant frozen foods manager, and later helped me take the full reins of that department as the store grew and he needed to hand off one area of responsibility. He lead with tactful authority and good humor, and I try to follow that. He was a profound influence on me during my time at the grocery store, and a good friend. I am saddened deeply to learn of his passing, and my heart goes out to his family.
