Anne Marie Eddy

Anne_2-croppedOur beloved mother Anne Marie Eddy (Riibe) passed away early Friday morning September 13, 2013 at her residence in Kirkland, WA.  She was surrounded by those that loved her.  She left this earthly world too soon, after a short but brave battle with bladder cancer.  We take comfort in knowing she is in the loving arms of God, and the loved ones that preceded her.

She was born Sept 28, 1943 in Cheney, WA to LaVaughn Franklin and Helen Marie Riibe.  As a young girl she grew up in Waterville, WA where she attended the local High School.  After graduating she studied at Holy Names College in Spokane, and eventually moved to the Puget Sound area where she met and married David W. Eddy in August 1967, and became the mom to two sons.  The family eventually settled in Renton, WA.  During the 1980’s and 90’s she worked as a Department Manager in Remittance Banking for Rainier Bank which later became Bank of America.  She was well respected and loved by her co-workers.

In retirement, she displayed her love for animals, caring for her two shih-tzu dogs Anne 1Missy and Mac, and most recently her cat Pretty Boy.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, and was especially talented in tole painting and wreath making.  She was generous and loving with friends and family, and everyone felt welcome in her home.

She is survived by two sons, Chris and Kevin Eddy, daughter-in law Alycia Eddy, her sister Mary Loretta (Toni) Dixon of Sand Point, Idaho and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins who will miss her dearly.  Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.

Anne 3She was preceded in death by her parents LaVaughn and Helen, brother Larry  Anthony Riibe and sister Linda Angela Riibe.

The family would like to thank the care givers at Emeritus of Kirkland for their kindness and tireless effort to keep her well.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her name to the American Cancer society or Seattle Humane society.
