John Duane Schuchard
John Duane Schuchard, age 81, passed away on February 20, 2013. Born in Columbus, North Dakota, on March 6, 1931 to Aloysius and Rose Schuchard, he was preceded in death by his brother Mark (Louie). He is survived by his wife, Vicky; only son, John (wife, Rosalynn); new granddaughter, Riley; brother, Matt; and nine sisters, Rose, Lyla, Annabelle, Lorraine, Vickie, Bernadette, Helen, Genny and Arlene.
John came to Renton, Washington at age nine, and graduated from O’Dea High School in 1950. After serving in the Army National Guard and Reserve, he worked at Boeing as a draftsman for 31 years. As a loving husband and father, he enjoyed Mariner games, camping and fishing with his family. He adored his granddaughter Riley whom he was able to meet in 2012, shortly after her birth.
Touching so many lives with his kindness and positive outlook on life, John will be forever missed by all who knew him. A memorial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 11am on Friday, March 1, 2013.
