Arthur Larson

Arthur LarsonArthur Larson passed away Saturday January 12th after a battle with Lymphoma. Art leaves behind his beloved wife Jeanne, daughter Tracy, son-in-law Brian Van Hoof and son Brad and daugher-in-law Chelsea and son Mike along with a two week old granson Bo Van Hoof, who was named after his grandpa’s childhood nickname.

Art retired from the Renton Fire Department as a Deputy Chief in 2006 after 35 years in fire service and spent his retirement cruising to many exotic destinations such as the Panama Canal and Greece.  Art was never happier than when he was on vacation. He also spent his retirement building a beach house for his family on a beautiful piece of property in Pt. Hadlock, Wa.  There were many weekends spent with the family up there resting and relaxing and a lot of rounds of golf were played with this sons and best friends Al Brown and Larry Duchsherer.

He will be sadly missed as a huge part of our family is now missing but with the love and support of all our family and friends we will remember him as someone full of love that could always be counted on anytime anyone needed help.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday January 19th at St. Matthews in Renton at 1 p.m.  The family asks, that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Firefighter Stairclimb http://www.llswa.org/site/TR/Events/FirefighterStairclimb?team_id=47697&pg=team&fr_id=1280

You all are in my positive thoughts during this difficult time. What a wonderful and full life to be celebrated! It saddens me not being able to celebrate with you all, just know that I will be there in joyous spirit! All my love today and always, Connie
