Margaret Evelyn Allen , 90, of Bothell, WA passed away on October 4th

She was born in Antrim, Northern Ireland on February 12th 1922  to John Campbell and Emily Foley. After growing up near Belfast she served in the British Army for 6 years , surviving the Blitz in London and having the honor of serving tea to the Queen Mother and having breakfast with Eleanor Roosevelt.  She also met her future husband Otto H. Allen, who preceded her in death in 1983.

Her passion in life was to do good for others and she did it well, volunteering and making items for local bazaars.  She was an avid knitter and made many pair of slippers for her children, grandchildren and friends.

Evelyn is survived by her sister, Betty Harrison, two daughters, Linda & Brian Elliott of Dahlia and Sydney Hunsdale of Woodinville, also 5 grandchildren,  8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

No memorial will be held and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in her name.
