Dolores (Dee) Jeanne Fredeen Burris

Dolores (Dee) Jeanne Fredeen Burris, 86, peacefully passed away on October 3, 2012, in Bellevue, Washington.

Dee was born on March 29, 1926 in Los Angeles County and graduated from John Marshall High School and Pasadena City College.  She married William F. Johnston in 1947 and they had three children together.

Dee and Bill first lived in California, then New York, until their divorce in 1960.  Dee married the love of her life, Robert E.C. Burris, in 1969 making their home in California until his death in 1986.  Dee then moved to Washington to be near family.

Dee will be remembered as a world class homemaker, an avid reader, tennis player, volunteer, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister.

She is survived by her three children, Pam (Mike) Mard of Tampa, Florida, Rick (Cindy) Johnston of Northern Ireland and Sherry (Jim) Schneider of Woodinville, Washington; sister Joani (Del) Sherill of Lacey, Washington; two nieces; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
