Jodi Lyn Pound

Jodi Lyn Pound (Tate) was born in Pullman on October 3rd 1959.  She passed away on August 19th 2012 at Swedish Hospital in Seattle.

Jodi attended most of her elementary schooling in Pullman and then transferred to Colfax where she graduated from Colfax High School.  She enrolled at EWU (Cheney) for a quarter and then transferred to Washington State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Food Science. She was a member of the Tri Delta sorority.

Jodi’s first job was working at St. Michelle Winery in Patterson, WA in quality control.  She then worked at Milne Fruit Products in Prosser, WA as a manager of quality control where she met the love of her life, Michael Pound, also a graduate of WSU.  Jodi moved to Seattle in 1995 to work for Pacific Foods in Kent and later worked at Vitamilk Dairy in Seattle.

Jodi and Michael were married in Woodinville in 1996.  Their son Ryan was born in 1998 and is the shining star of Michael and Jodi.   Jodi was involved in Ryan’s school (Thoreau Elementary) as PTA president for two years and was a “soccer Mom” who cheered Ryan on from the sidelines of every game.  She also worked part time at Wild Bird’s Unlimited in Bothell and enthusiastically enjoyed bird watching and bird feeding.

Jodi was a very caring and thoughtful individual who would always lend an ear or a hand to those in need.  She will be missed greatly by the families, friends, and others who have been touched by her joyful, upbeat, and giving presence.
