Tim Carroll Reeves
Tim Carroll Reeves passed away peacefully on the morning of May 14, 2012 in Issaquah, WA at the age of 70. Tim was born on January 1, 1942, in Vernon, TX to William Carroll and Ruby Veda Reeves. He married Kathleen Helen Johnson on June 2, 1969 in Topanga Canyon, CA and they were blessed with three children: Timothy Ronald, Kimberly Christine and Heather Carole. Tim remembered his Vernon, TX childhood fondly, passing time with cousins Reggie and Max Kester and attending Hawkins Elementary School and Vernon High School.
After moving to Boulder, CO his senior year of high school, he joined the Coast Guard – and as a Chief Sonar Tech he was able to see the world. He settled in Woodinville, WA in 1978 and worked for Boeing Aerospace, retiring in 2002. Tim enjoyed fishing, boating, car shows and spending time with his family. He had a curiosity for many things and a joyful spirit. Papa, as he was known to his grandkids, was a man of gentle strength and his southern hospitality allowed him to strike up conversations with strangers wherever he went.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Carroll and Ruby and his brother Ken. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son Tim, daughter-in-law Athlynn, grandchildren Timothy and Esther of Newberg OR; daughter Kimberly of Newcastle WA; daughter Heather, son-in-law Brett and grandchildren Tanner and Haley of Issaquah, WA. He will be remembered for his selflessness and sense of humor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Old Dog Haven of Lake Stevens WA.
