Eunice “Sis” Rowley

Eunice “Sis” Rowley,84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 4th, 2012 after a long illness. “Sis” was an unbelievably caring and giving person with a world-class sense of humor. Her family always came first before her needs as she always gave unselfishly of herself. She was the strength and shining light of our family and was always smiling and laughing.

She enjoyed great pleasure from, and is survived by her extended loving family of her brother Roy Birkland and sister Jeri Saxland both of Seattle, her three children, Michael, Kathy and Dan Rowley, her 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and her very close friend and “family” member Chris Corgnati.

“Sis” was born in Poulsbo Wa. and lived her whole life in the greater Seattle and Kirkland area. She was happily married to Gil Rowley for over 60 years until his passing in 2006. Her passions outside of family included among other things a great gift for cooking and sewing. She also shared a love of Dobermin’s and fishing for Salmon with Gil.

Her passing wish was for her family to live in peace and harmony. She will be dearly missed. Dear Mom, REST IN PEACE….

I worked with Eunice, as a busboy, at the old Black Angus restaurant, on Aurora. She was very easy to get along with and had a very dry sense of humor. We were caught off guard, more than once, by her comments!

It’s hard to believe that was back in 1972-1975. How time flies.

    Rest in Peace, Eunice.
