PAUL ALEXANDER SWANN

MAY 24, 1963 – NOVEMBER 21, 2011

We are overwhelmed with sadness to share with you that Paul, our loving father and husband, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 21, 2011, at the age of 48 after a brain aneurysm. We are grateful to the doctors and nursing staff at Swedish Neurological Center for their professional and compassionate care. He was our best friend, a wonderful father and we will miss him dearly.

Paul grew up in Pennsylvania and St. Croix, Virgin Islands.  He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Lehigh University and his MBA from the University of Washington. He worked for Bosch-Rexroth for nearly 22 years, was Vice President, and most recently worked as Vice President at Helac Corporation in Enumclaw.  Paul was happiest spending time with his family, whether playing or coaching soccer, fishing, boating, or skiing. He was an avid outdoorsman who also loved to read and learn. Paul was a hard-working man of integrity, and will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues.

We are grateful for our too few years shared together. Paul leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Barbara, daughter Anna, 15, and son Johnny, 12. He also leaves a brother, sisters, mother, many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will take place on Friday, December 2, at 11:00 am, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland. Reception to follow at the Holy Family Social Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to:

American Academy of Neurology Foundation
or
National Foundation for the Blind
or
Holy Family School
Paul Swann Memorial Fund
Our family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers during this time.
