Barbara Jane Larson

Barbara Jane Larson, age 78, formerly of Port Orchard, passed November 12th after a battle with lymphoma.  She was born in Hamby, Texas (near Abilene) on March 28, 1933 to John and Jessy Tunnell.  She was a long time resident of Vallejo before moving to Washington State in 1971.  She was the loving mother of five sons and was preceded in death by sons, David, Brett and Bart, both of her parents and a brother, Warren.  She is survived by sons John (Susan) Larson of Edmonds, WA and Monty Larson of Port Orchard, WA, grandsons Gregory Larson of Seattle, WA, Conner Larson of Edmonds, and Michael Brant Larson.  Her sister, Cynthia (Ed) Hewitt of Vallejo, CA survives her as do numerous nieces and nephews.  Barbara (BJ) was an active member of the Edmonds Senior Center and the Sound Singers.  Her love for music was only surpassed by her love for family and friends.  A Memorial Service will be held at Edmonds Seniors Center in Edmonds, WA on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances and memorials can be made to your favorite charity, Edmonds Seniors Center or the Virginia Mason Foundation.
