Everett J Nelson, 79 of Mercer Island died June 9th. His family thanks thestaff at Covenant Shores Health Center for the care they gave him. He wasborn in Rockford, IL. He graduated from DeVry Technical, Chicago. Everettserved in the Army Signal Corps in Korea. He worked for the BoeingCompany as a test and design engineer. He served on technical committeesfor The Instrument Society of America. Everett was elected an ISA Fellowfor his technical accomplishments. He was a member of Newport CovenantChurch. He served as a Boy Scout leader. His rewarding community servicewas helping procure a planetarium for Bellevue College.Everett is survived by his wife, Arlene, children Gregory, Michael, John,Cynthia their families and his brother Richard.A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, July 5 at NewportCovenant Church, Bellevue. 10 am.Remembrances can be made to Benevolent Care Fund c/o Covenant ShoresRetirement Community 9150 N.
