Geraldine Noreen Bryant
Born 9/5/47, San Diego, CA
Passed Away 6/5/10, Evergreen Hospice after a long battle with cancer.
She was part of homeward Pets for 19 years, First as a volunteer where she quickly became addicted to helping the homeless cats and dogs that came to the shelter, then as a staff person where she continued her dedication to the animals. Geraldine and her husband fostered many kittens and puppies though the years and also adopted several. They have travel the world, loved movies-old and new, music, history and so much more. Geraldine lived an amazing life and will be truly missed. Survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard (Dick), her father Robert Hayes of Everett, and by brothers Robert of Renton, Bruce of Seattle, Douglas of Kent and by sisters Susan Thompson of Tukwila, and Julie Wilson of Everett. Geraldine, I know it had been a while since we’d seen each other, but know I thought of you frequently. Your strength is inspiring and I will miss you. My condolences to Dick and the rest of the Bryant clan. Rest assured that Homeward will get a donation when I can send one.

Geraldine will be greatly missed by so many. Her dedication to animal welfare was inspiring and through that work she made the lives of thousands of homeless animals better. She truly left the world a better place. Dick and family, you are in our thoughts.

I always enjoyed seeing you (and Dick) when we got together once a year to see Gilbert and Sullivan. I have good memories of our get together beforehand to eat dinner and then go see the show. Your love of animals and your volunteer work I found heart warming. Sorry you weren’t able to beat the cancer, but l know you gave it a good fight. I bet some dogs and cats are with you keeping you company.
We will miss seeing you on Friday nights at bowling.
Your great smile and always positive outlook has been inspiring. Our condolences to Dick and your extended families.
What a great person. Caring for kittens, singing at parties, talking about an unknown english TV series, managing the many aspects of the shelter she handled with infinite care, organization and devotion – whatever she did, Geraldine was terrific to be around. Dick, I am thinking of you and of your great lady.
