Marla was such a great friend to me, I can’t think of my childhood without wonderful memories of Marla. You will be in my heart forever,

Thoughts of Marla always make me smile, even in these incredibly difficult times. Marla was a truly wonderful friend to me in high school, I have countless memories. Her humor, love for her family and youthful energy will always come to mind when I think of her. I pray that God will be diligent in watching over her family. Love you and miss you, Marla.

I knew Marla for a few years back in high school. During part of the time that we were friends she was going through some very difficult health issues. It did not occur to me until years later how strong and courageous she was as she faced down the most frightening things with lightening fast wit and a nonchalant demeanor that put those around her at ease. Later in life when thinking of her I recalled the grace and humor that she exhibited through those difficult times. My memory of her is that of beautiful young women with an infectious joie de vivre. Although I did not know her as an adult I cannot help but feel that she continually brought something good to all the lives that she touched. I offer my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
