Lois Woolf Savage, 84, passed away July 1, 2008 after a brief bout with Pneumonia. She had suffered with Alzheimer’s since 1999. Lois was born September 8, 1923 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada, to Dr. Wilford W. and Pearl Wright Woolf. From the age of eight she lived in Provo, Utah, and was a graduate of Brigham Young High School and Brigham Young University. Lois served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Germany from 1955 to 1957. In 1959, she married Dr. Henry C. Savage, then a widower with seven children (Henry Jr., Robert, Ralph, Mary, Kathy, Marjorie, Nancy, all born to Marjorie Hatch Savage), and together they had Jodi, Doug, Steve and Paul. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Henry, by sons Doug and Ralph, and by her brother Wilford. She is also survived by her oldest brother, Anthony. Since 1962, Lois lived in the Seattle area. Lois was grand-mother to 49 and will be missed by all who knew her kind temperament and her enduring yet simple faith.

A memorial service will be held on July 17th at 12:00 p.m. at 102 North 132rd Street, Seattle, Washington, with a graveside service at Burley, Idaho’s Pleasant View Cemetery on July 18th at 12:00 p.m. An additional memorial service will be held in Utah on July 21st at 11:00 a.m. at 50 South 750 West, Orem, Utah.
