Funerals Banned in Washington State

On March 16, 2020 the Governor of Washington State issued a proclamation (HERE) banning certain types of gatherings and closing some businesses to the public.

That guidance was further clarified by the Funeral and Cemetery Board to include funerals. The rules are summarized in this poster:

 

These closures are similar to closures in other states and countries.  The purpose is to prevent the rapid spread of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 so the medical industry can keep up with severe cases that require hospitalization.
