Rodney John Burk
Rodney John Burk was born on July 31, 1946 in Eugene Oregon to Virgil and Alexandria Burk. In 1953, Rodney was adopted by his Uncle Delbert Burk and was raised on a 600acre farm in Harrisburg, Oregon. He graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1965.In 1967 he joined the Army and received an Honorable Discharge. After the Army,Rodney moved to Seattle and had two very successful careers in Cosmetology and Drywall Construction. He was a Cosmetologist for 15 years and in 1985 started working in Drywall Construction. In 1989 he started is own Drywall Company. He took a brief break from Drywall Construction and worked for Boeing for several years and then continued his Drywall Construction career until his recent passing.
Rodney’s favorite things to do were fishing, bowling, and watching his kids play sports.He coached both Jimmy and Danny in Southwest Little League Baseball.
Rodney is survived by his fathers Delbert and Virgil, his brothers and sisters Regina,Edie, Lory, Mari, Michael, and Johnny, his children Chelsea, David, James, and Daniel,his 5 grandchildren and long time companion Caryn Harmon.
The Lord called Rodney home on April 6, 2011. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
