Cris John Porras

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cris John Porras (BiBoy), who left too early in his journey of life on September 28th, at the of 26.

Biboy lived his life with courage, independence, and joy. From an early age, he knew what he wanted in life and worked toward his dreams with determination. He was adventurous and unafraid to try new things. He was eager to explore the world and dreamed of moving back to the Philippines one day. Basketball was one of his passions, a game where his energy, perseverance, and hard work matched his personality. Above all, Biboy wanted those around him to be happy — his positivity, kindness, and laughter brought light to every life he touched.

Though his time was far too short, Biboy lived fully, bravely, and with purpose. His adventurous spirit and joyful heart will continue to inspire everyone who knew him.

Biboy is survived by his loving mother, Gemma Porras, and his step father, John Jackson; his siblings, Cris Maeh Kershaw and Patrick Abastas; his grandmother, Violeta Porras and his cherished niece, Kalani Kershaw. He will be remembered as a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and  friend.

A viewing will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barton Family Funeral Service, 11630 Slater Ave NE, Suite 1A, Kirkland, WA 98034.

A memorial service and interment will take place at Surigao Memorial Park, Surigao City, Philippines 8400. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to celebrate Biboy’s life.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered!

Cris John (and his sister Cris Maeh) arrived in America and immediately took the hearts and made Eternity Long Family bonds with the Folks at Holly Grove Methodist Church in Anacoco, Louisiana (USA). The language barrier was NOT a barrier as he found himself the beloved ‘adopted’ grandchild of every member of the Church. Cris fellowshiped with and joined in every activity; and carried a smile that lit up any building he entered. Cris John cared, and has a heart that let folks know he cared for them, a beloved spirit I so very much look forward when I go to be with the Lord.
Cris John honored and love those ‘back home’ in the Philippines – sharing the stories of love of family, Pastor, Friends, and Brethren.
He grew into quite a young man before he went on to other adventures and life elsewhere – again, making life long friends and doing what he loved, while bringing happiness to others as he did so. I love you little brother (heart-adopted grandson); I so very much look forward to seeing you again in Glory.

I don’t know what i could say that wasnt already said by Dave except the joy he brought into Hank’s and my lives alongwith all the others he blessed.
I sat in the grandstand watching him receive his diploma with the same pride that i felt for my own children.
Heaven will be richer because of his presence there

My family did not know Cris.
However, our lives became inter twined with his late afternoon on September 28th, 2025.
We were headed to dinner that evening and Cris was on his motorcycle and moved in front of us. The accident happened right in front of us 😢
We did our best, called 911 and parked to “protect” Cris.
Our families thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends 🙏 💙

Our family did not know Cris.
However, our lives intertwined with his as we were headed to dinner late afternoon on September 28th, 2025.
As we were headed to dinner, Cris passed us on his motorcycle, changed lanes and that’s when the accident happened :'( We immediately pulled over, called 911 and my husband and another pulled up and tried to shield Cris.
Our family is very sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I am thankful to have met Cris a few years ago through work. Cris was always respectful, kind and willing to share a smile and a wave. There are some people who just brighten your day, and Cris was one of them. My prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
