    Robert,

The several years we spent together as friends and more, made a significant impact on my life. You are and we’re a beautiful person despite your lifelong struggles. I had the honor to meet most of your family including your dad, Bob and your stepmom Tricia, your mom Carolyn, your brother-in-law, Jim, your sister Sandy, your nephew, Andy and now posthumously, your sister Robin, who is an absolutely beautiful person. I just want you to know that I always talked about following my dream of becoming a doctor and despite all of the roadblocks I had to overcome I’m just now two years away from completing my MD degree at the University of Pikeville. I hope to use my time in medicine just like I have my time as a social worker and registered nurse to help other people who struggle with substance abuse find a pathway to fall back in love with themselves and find a way out of the muck and mire. You were one of the most intelligent, handy, and crafty people I ever met. I learned so much from you in a good way. I wish you ever peaceful rest my friend. I’m sorry I can’t be there on the 10th to celebrate your life, but just know you’ll always have a part of my heart. Love & Friendship Always. Freddy

Robert was my mentor and friend and house mate for three years! I got to know him very well as he did me ! He was the friend to me that we could just sit together and speak no words. As we were comfortable with each other! I will miss him greatly !so remember that we are not getting any younger ! Apologies if needed so be said as we never know when we end up dead not being able to !

My sweet Robert, You were the best cousin ever growing up together. You never ever judged anyone. Seems like a funny thing for a child to remember but looking back that’s what it was. You loved unconditionally anyone that was your friend. You, Sandy, James and I had some of the best times. Mostly just talking and hanging out. You had the BEST laugh!! I loved it when you laughed! The years have flown by and now you are gone but my memories of you will always be as if they just happened yesterday. I’m so glad YOU were a part of our great big family!! I will forever keep your smile and laugh in my heart…I love you!!
