Alexandria Michelle Hendrickson

 

Alexandria Michelle Hendrickson, a beloved wife, artist, writer, and humanitarian, passed away at Evergreen Hospital on August 1, 2024. Born on January 14, 1954, in Caracas, Venezuela as Jaqueline Poirot  lived a remarkable life filled with creativity, compassion, and resilience.

Michelle spent her early years in Venezuela before moving to France at the age of four. She attended boarding schools in France for nine years, where she developed a strong sense of independence and a love of learning. Upon moving to the United States, Michelle became a naturalized citizen and embraced her new home.

Known for her gentle spirit and unwavering determination, Michelle dedicated her life to helping others. Her compassion extended to all, and she was fluent in French, Spanish, English, and Italian, allowing her to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.

A talented artist, Michelle earned the prestigious title of Northwest Best New Artist of the Year. Her creative pursuits also included cosmetology, where she excelled as a master hair cutter and nail technician. Michelle served as a sketch artist for the Bellevue Police Department and an interpreter in the court for Hispanic individuals, demonstrating her commitment to public service.

With her intellectual curiosity, Michelle earned a Microsoft Engineer degree as a coder/scripter. She also shared her love of storytelling by writing multiple children’s short stories and an Ability book for the disabled.

Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to open a successful high-class Day Spa in Downtown Friday Harbor. Her passion for dance was evident in her beautiful dance moves.

Despite facing health challenges, including chronic pain, Michelle remained resilient and optimistic. She found solace in her art and writing.

Michelle is survived by her husband of 24 years Scott and her son Shawn and Neil.
