It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gaile Frances Rosenstrom Jannsen, who passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in Seattle, Washington.

Born in Seattle to Evelyn and Albert Rosenstrom.  Gaile grew up in Renton, Washington and lived a full and vibrant life.  She attended University of Washington and was a member of Alpha Phi sorority.  She was crowned Miss Renton and a Seafair Princess, an honor she carried with pride.  Gaile was known for her charm, grace and deep love for her family and community.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Ventoza (Scott) and her son, Jed Jannsen (Jenifer), sister, Jill Zimmerman (Bruce) and nephew, Brad Zimmerman and niece, Emily Zimmerman.  She was a loving grandmother to Kalvin Ventoza, Kylar Jannsen and Kamron Jannsen, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Gaile is predeceased by parents Albert and Evelyn Rosenstrom and William Jannsen her husband of 10 years.

Gaile’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her.  Her kindness, warmth and generous spirit will be greatly missed.

A service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Renton, Washington on Monday, September 23rd at 11:00 with a reception to follow. A Mass intention will be offered at St. Anthony Parish in Renton, Washington on Sunday, October 27 at 10:30.
