Brian Bartley Leitch, born January 1947, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2024 from pancreatic cancer, with his wife and daughter by his side.
He is survived by his wife (Barb), daughter (Stacy), son-in law, (Aaron Linson), grandson (Aidan Linson) sister (Susan Brockway), brother-in-law (Reid Brockway) niece and her husband (Carissa Brockway and Derek Baylor).
He loved life and was passionate about all of his cats and animals throughout the years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, racquetball, basketball, ping pong, skiing and was an avid exerciser. He was competitive in sports with his grandson, encouraging Aidan to “earn” the win. Loving and compassionate, he was always more concerned about others than himself. Friends and acquaintances have often mentioned how kind he was. He lived by his grandmother’s mantra…”Always be honest and true.”
Born in Seattle, Brian went to Greenwood Elementary school, Marcus Whitman Junior High, attended Lincoln High school and graduated in 1965 from Shorecrest High school. After he graduated, he joined the Army Reserves. He happily retired after a long career in real estate. In retirement he and his wife enjoyed many cruises and visiting family.

As it has been noted my fishing buddy was a very kind man. We always had fun times in the boat and on the river. Conversations were the best. He was my go to guy on taxes, tackle,automotive, or anytime I needed to hear that laugh. You fought a great fight with humor and dignity. You are missed
Brian was one of my favorite cousins and I am sad to learn of his passing. He was a wonderful help in selling my mother’s home after she died and was always a kind and thoughtful person and so easy to be around.
Condolences to his family and my cousin Susan and I am sure he will live on in our memories as the wonderful person he was.
We have been so lucky to have gotten close to Brian over the last many years. We had many bbqs and gatherings. He was always so cheerful and happy to be with our little group, enjoying each other, good food, and, of course desserts included. Brian , John and I will really miss you and your smiling face.
