Kathleen T. Steine

Kathleen (Kathy) T. Steine passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on February 11, 2024, after a long illness.

Kathy was born in March of 1946 in Orange, NJ. Kathy graduated from Wayne High School in 1964 then attended Rudgers University in Newark. On May 15, 1965,

Kathy married Michael Steine. She lived and worked in Rutherford, NJ while Michael went to school and upon his graduation in May of 1969 they moved to Roanoke, VA. In June of 1970 they moved to Metairie, LA. Kathy delivered her daughter Rebecca in December of 1971 and son Michael in December of 1975. She attended the University of New Orleans and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and went on to become a CPA. In September of 1983, the family moved to Kirkland, WA where she resided for the rest of her life.

Kathy became an Accounting Supervisor at Aerojet Rocketdyne in Redmond, WA. Kathy liked to travel, read and watch mysteries, play cards, and play board games.

She is survived by her brother Charles, sister Patricia, husband Michael, son Michael, and grandson Christopher. A memorial service will be held for Kathy at the Barton Family Funeral Service facility, 11630 Slater Ave NE, Suite 1A, Kirkland, WA 98034 on Saturday, March 30, beginning at 1:00 PM.
