It is with great sadness that the family of Jeanne Reagan Berry announces her passing on Saturday January 27, 2024 at the age of 74. Jeanne was born in San Diego, CA on July 19th 1949 to parents Howard Wellington Reagan and Verna Stadheim Reagan. She is survived by daughter Danielle Berry (husband Christopher Finger and daughters Della and Aria) of Kenmore, WA and her dear sisters, Terry Taylor (with husband Curt Johnson) of Bellevue, WA; Marsha Reagan (son Jake Dietzman, his partner Crystal Keith and daughter Semele) of Pasadena, CA and numerous other family members and friends. Jeanne now joins her beloved husband Charley Berry (deceased) along with her parents and niece Paige Taylor (deceased).

Jeanne and her family moved from San Diego to Medina, WA when she was seven. Her young memories positively centered around adventures and stories with family in the Bellevue area. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1967. Her passion for education took her to Central Washington University where she graduated in 1971 with a degree in education and a minor in both psychology and sociology. Directly after college, she started teaching and found her passion in education. Jeanne continued her pursuit of education by getting a Master’s Degree in Education from Seattle Pacific University. Some of her career highlights include being the Director of Special Education in Riverview and administrator for the Bellevue School District.

In 1975, Jeanne married Charley Berry, beginning their life together in Yarrow Point, Washington. Jeanne was proud of her involvement in the communities she lived and valued the friendships of her neighbors. She spent many years involved and chairing the Yarrow Point/Hunts Point 4th of July celebration. She loved a good party! In her retirement, Jeanne pursued her passion for civic involvement to become the mayor of Yarrow Point for two terms.

In 2006, Charley and Jeanne moved to Bend, Oregon where they became involved in the Broken Top community while pursuing many recreational hobbies including golf and skiing. Her joys also included time with extended family and friends who shared her love for long chats while walking one of her beloved dogs. With an infectious smile and laugh, Jeanne made friends wherever she went; always connecting people and making others feel welcome. We will miss her.

Our family is forever grateful to all friends, neighbors, and caregivers for the love, encouragement and support. A celebration of life is planned for friends and family and will be held this spring.
