My greatest gift from my father was his unwavering belief that I could do anything. Many of my adventures, hobbies, and even career choice I owe to that confidence he instilled in me at an early age. we shared many adventures and hobbies together, including horse back riding, rock hounding, traveling, and photography. I will miss his never ending supply of stories (perhaps slightly embellished at times) and mischievous smile signaling there was a joke on the tip of his tongue. His eyes danced until the end–I love you Dad.
Lucky to have had a father like him. He instilled a fondness of the outdoors and adventures in me. Fondly remember fishing with him when I landed my first 20 pound plus steelhead. Appreciate him telling me there are no short cuts in life and to work hard and be honest and you will obtain what you are after. He was a character for sure, which I appreciated. Hope to see him somewhere again on the river fishing in the future. Fish on!
