Darlene C. Zrust, 89, of Lynnwood, WA died peacefully on December 24, 2022, with family by her side.

Darlene was born in Meeker County, MN to John and Edith Jordin.  One of three daughters, Darlene grew up on the family farm and graduated from Litchfield High School.  She met the love of her life, Daryle Zrust, in Cosmos.  They married in 1955 and had three daughters.  In 1973, Daryle and Darlene moved their family to Lynnwood from Minnesota.  Darlene worked as a legal secretary for most of her career, while maintaining their home and raising the girls.

Darlene and Daryle were lifelong Lutherans and were members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and then Trinity Lutheran Church after moving out west.  Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and made many precious memories with multi-generational family getaways.  She kept an immaculate home, was especially fond of decorating for the holidays and hosted many delicious holiday dinners.  Darlene cared for Daryle until his death in 2021 and enjoyed the friends she met at their home at Quail Park.

Darlene is survived by her daughters Deb, Dawn and Andrea, son-in-law Jess, grandchildren Chris and Melissa, Nick, Alana, Bay, Brooke, Beck and Bryn, great grandson Colin, sister Cleone as well as loving extended family and friends.

In addition to Daryle, she was predeceased by her parents and sister Lavonne, her mother and father-in-law, and sons-in-law Bruce and Del.  We are grateful for the care Darlene received from Swedish Cancer Institute Edmonds and First Hill.  A private family memorial is planned.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Swedish Cancer Institute.
