Michele Aguilar
Following a two-year battle with Cancer, our beloved Michele Aguilar passed away in her home on March 28, 2022 surrounded by her family and friends. Michele was 49. She is survived by her husband, Roberto Aguilar, her sons Peter J. Aguilar and Andre R. Aguilar.
Michele was born July 9, 1972, on Long Island, N.Y. She was the daughter of Daniel Piecora Sr. and Arlene Poluhoff. Michele and her younger brother, Daniel Piecora Jr. moved to the Seattle area in 1982 following their parents’ divorce. Growing up in Kirkland, Washington with her dad and stepmom Debra Piecora, Michele was blessed with another brother, Matthew in 1984 and a sister, Lily in 1988. Michele gained a stepfather with the marriage of her mother Arlene to Ralph Still in 1991.
After graduating Lake Washington High School in 1990, Michele attended college at the University of California. She met Roberto Aguilar in October 1997 in Costa Mesa, CA. After two years of dating, they married September 26, 1999, and two years later they moved to Washington to start their family, eventually buying their dream home in Cottage Lake.
On March 2, 2005, Michele and Roberto were blessed with the birth of their first child, Peter J. Aguilar and two years later, their second child, Andre R. Aguilar.
Michele was an amazing and caring human being, a lifelong friend, a loving daughter, a caring and protective mother, and a wonderful wife. She always cared for others and was very thoughtful of everyone around her. She never forgot an important date for her family and friends. Michele made Cottage Lake her perfect place to spend with her family and friends.
Michele is preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Peter and Mary Poluhoff, Angelo and Evelyn Piecora and her step grandma, Punk Dethlefs. She is survived by all her parents, her brother Dan Jr. and his wife, Brandi and their children Gabriel, Gideon and Eden, brother Matthew and sister Lily. Also, many aunts, uncles, cousins and forever friends.
Michele requested to be cremated and for her ashes to be spread at Cottage Lake and Hampton Bays, NY.
To honor Michele’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life on her birthday at 12:00 PM on July 9, 2022 at Cottage Lake Beach Club in Woodinville, WA. We invite anyone who knew Michele to attend and remember her wonderful life. Michele’s favorite color was purple or lavender. We ask all attendees to wear bright colors or Michele’s favorite color.

I worked with Roberto for 1.5 years at ABCom. I only met Michelle one time, but Roberto always talked about how much he loved her, and what an amazing wife/mother she was. My Most Sincere and Heartfelt Condolences To The Family.
Dear Roberto, Peter, Andre and all of Michele’s loving family and friends, I wish I was at the memorial today with all of you. I loved Michele so very much from the moment she was born and will go on loving her forever. I pray that our Lord blesses everyone who loved Michele today, fills us with her beautiful spirit, and lets us be joyful as she was when we celebrate her today. Let’s touch that part of her that we carry in our hearts and celebrate her love for each of us.
