Arne Matthew Berg
Arne Matthew Berg (Matthew) passed to our savior Jesus Christ on December 19, 2021 in Kirkland, WA. from Colon Cancer. Matthew was 46 years old, born on April 30, 1975 in Seattle, WA. Matthew is survived by his twin boys Axel and Lionel Berg, their mother Eugenia Berg, parents Arne and Gail Berg, sister Dana Jennings, brother Chris Berg , sister-in-law Shannon Berg, Matthews’ fiancé Emily Chamangwana and 5 nieces and nephews, Jesica, T.J., Charlie, Lou and Lily.
Matthew graduated from Woodinville High School in 1993 and Western Washington University in 2001 with a Plastics Engineering Degree. His choice of schools completely depended on how close he was to a mountain. Matthews’ original goal was to design and manufacture the best plastic composite snowboard. He was an avid snow boarder, skate boarder and wake boarder. He loved the water and the mountains, but his greatest loves were Axel and Lionel.
Matthew worked in various aspects of the Aerospace industry as a Quality Engineer. He was very proud of his achievements in that industry as well as having his name placed on Mars while working for General Dynamics from 2014-2019.
We were very proud of our loving son, not because of his achievements, because of his heart. We were blessed to have him in our lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Canyon Hills Community Church in Bothell, WA.

Words can not express the broken heart I feel for all of You! My thoughts and prayers are with you!
I am so thankful for my friendship with the Berg family and thankful for the visits I had with Matthew over the years at Moses Lake. I perceived him to be brilliant, kind and gentle. He was so proud of his sons and loved them with all his heart. He certainly gave them a good start at life. I will miss him as will everyone who had the good fortune of knowing him.
Our hearts go out to the Berg family. We were neighbors for many years in Woodinville. We’ve never met a nicer more loving family. Our youngest son Christian was good friends with Matthew. I’m sure our son, with Matthew’s help, (and other neighbor kids), put a skateboard ramp in our back yard. All we could think of was the liability if someone got hurt. The ramp went down in a few days. The boys always had ways to have adventures in our neighborhood. Matthew is gone but never forgotten.
